Arranging treatment abroad is a big decision. Here is exactly what happens at each stage — what you do, what we do, and where the decisions sit (always with you).

2. Medical records review
With your consent, we share your records (translated where needed) with suitable hospitals. Their specialists assess whether the treatment is appropriate for your case.
3. Treatment plan and written quote
You receive a written treatment plan and itemised quote — procedure, hospital stay, and estimated extras like accommodation. No commitment until you are satisfied.
4. Visa and paperwork
Most patients use a standard visitor or medical (S2) visa. For treatment in the Boao Lecheng zone, citizens of 59 countries — including the UK — can enter Hainan visa-free for up to 30 days.
5. Travel and arrival
We help coordinate dates with the hospital, and advise on flights and accommodation near the hospital. International departments meet you with English-speaking staff.
6. Treatment
Admission, pre-operative checks and the procedure itself, with interpreter support throughout. Your companion can usually stay nearby or, in many hospitals, in the room.
7. Aftercare and follow-up at home
You leave with a full English-language discharge summary, imaging and medication plan for your GP or specialist at home. Follow-up consultations are typically done by video.
